MORTAL REMAINS OF LATE NIKETU IRALU ARRIVES IN DMP; PROG HELD AT AIRPORT

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 19: Noted Naga peace activist and public figure Niketu Iralu, 91, passed away in Delhi on 18th of August, following a cardiac arrest. He had reportedly been unwell and was undergoing treatment at BLK Hospital in Delhi.

His body reached Dimapur Airport today, where a special programme was held to pay tribute to the veteran peace activist and public figure.

Tributes were offered by representatives including APO President, TPO President Timekha Koza, NCD President GK Rengma, Chakhroma Public Organisation President Zhato Kimho, and Fellowship of Naga Baptist Association President Rev. Dr. Visor H. Zeliang.

The gathering remembered Iralu’s contributions and his longstanding involvement in issues concerning the Naga people and the pursuit of peace. His passing has been widely mourned.
