NCD CONDEMNS PUB ROW IN DMP; DEMANDS ANSWERS AFTER EXPOSURE OVER LOUNGE OPERATIONS

Dimapur, July 7: The Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) has condemned the recent alleged incident involving the NSF finance secretary over monetary demands and vandalism at a lounge owned by the president of the Dimapur Restaurant Union (DRU), describing it as a matter of serious concern.

In a press release, the council said the incident has exposed the alleged misuse of “free will donations” by certain organisations, which it claimed has burdened the business community. It also raised concerns over the operation of lounges allegedly selling illegal alcohol, questioned the implementation of the NLTP Act, and called for greater public discussion on the issue. The NCD further stated that it would continue to speak out on matters affecting the public and urged society to address the deeper issues highlighted by the incident.
