Dimapur, October 9: Four healthcare facilities in Nagaland received Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulances under a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) at a programme held at the Integrated Business Hub and Innovation Centre under the Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) at Forest Colony, Dimapur, on Friday.
The ambulances were handed over to healthcare facilities in Chümoukedima, Newland, Metsaphema subdivision and Tseminyu. While Chümoukedima received an ambulance for its Primary Health Centre, the other three locations received ambulances for their respective Community Health Centres. The programme was attended by Nagaland Governor Dr. Nand Kishore Yadav as the special guest, along with Abu Metha, Advisor to the Chief Minister and Chairman of IDAN, and other dignitaries.
The programme also witnessed the inauguration of an apple cider vinegar processing unit at Phanamir. Highlighting the potential of such initiatives in remote areas, Abu Metha said the processing unit would support local farmers, create livelihood opportunities and encourage further industrial activities in the region, which borders Myanmar.
In addition, certificates were distributed to entrepreneurs who had applied for units at the Integrated Business Hub and Innovation Centre, marking another step towards promoting entrepreneurship and business development in the state.
