Dimapur, October 2 (NNN): Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will visit the residences of electors whose names have been issued notices due to unmapped status or logical discrepancies, according to a press release issued by the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur.
The BLOs will collect and upload the required documents through the BLO App. The concerned electors will therefore not be required to visit the office of the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) or Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO) for a hearing.
The Deputy Commissioner clarified that hearings will be required only in exceptional cases where the concerned ERO considers one necessary. Where required, the hearing will be conducted online, with the date and time communicated to the elector through the respective BLO.
The press release further stated that any adult family member may be authorised to attend the hearing on behalf of the elector, if required. The DC has urged all concerned electors to cooperate with the BLOs and provide the necessary documents for completion of the SIR process.
