Kohima, August 14: The Beauty & Aesthetics Society of Nagaland (BASN) launched its new initiative, “Queens for a Cause,” at a programme held at Symphony Café, Kohima, on Thursday.
The initiative brings together Miss Nagaland titleholders and runners-up to create a united platform for social service, advocacy, mentorship and community development. BASN President Mele Pucho said the initiative goes beyond an alumni network, encouraging former queens to use their visibility and leadership to address social issues and inspire positive change.
Special Guest Theja Meru, Chairman of TaFMA, congratulated BASN for creating a platform that promotes sisterhood and collective action. He encouraged the queens to use their public visibility responsibly, become ambassadors for Nagaland, and promote the state’s youth, culture and vibrancy.
Meru also assured continued support from TaFMA and concerned departments to amplify the queens’ initiatives and facilitate wider collaborations.
The launch reiterated BASN’s message: “The crown is not the destination—it is the beginning of a lifelong responsibility.”
