‘RHYTHMS OF FREEDOM’ CHARITY CONCERT TO RAISE AID FOR NAGALAND DISASTER VICTIMS

Dimapur, August 10: The North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC), under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, will organise the “Rhythms of Freedom – Tiranga Charity Concert” on August 15, 2026, at the NEZCC Stone Sculpture Garden, Dimapur, as part of the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan.

The charity concert aims to support families affected by recent landslides, flash floods and other natural disasters across Nagaland. Organisers said 100% of the ₹100 entry ticket proceeds will go towards relief support for affected families, while a separate donation campaign will also allow people to contribute through a QR code.

The event will feature performances by several Nagaland artistes, musicians, choirs and entertainers, including Nise Meruno, Sunep Lemtur, Hentok Konyak, Colored Keys, Lenen Jamir, Kivika Achumi, Cantamus Choir, Tetso College Choir, 5 Minutes Band and comedian Hopong Naga, among others.

Various community organisations in Dimapur will also present cultural performances, highlighting the theme of “Unity in Diversity.” Food stalls, beverages and a children’s entertainment zone will also be available for visitors.Organisers have appealed to citizens to participate in the Independence Day event and contribute towards helping disaster-affected families across the state. The concert will begin at 5 PM on August 15.
