Kohima, July 28: The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) has issued a weather advisory for July 28–31, warning of thunderstorms, lightning and varying intensities of rainfall across the state.
According to the advisory, Kohima is likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places on July 29, while Mokokchung and Tseminyu may experience moderate to heavy rainfall on July 28. Tuensang is also expected to witness heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated locations on July 30.
NSDMA has urged residents, particularly those in landslide-prone, flood-prone and low-lying areas, to remain vigilant, avoid open spaces during thunderstorms, and stay updated through official weather advisories and the SAFER Nagaland App. Weather conditions are expected to improve across most districts by July 31.
