‘NOBODY SHOULD GO HUNGRY OR COLD THIS CHRISTMAS’; DNSU KICKS OFF CHARITY PROJECT

DIMAPUR: DNSU distributes food, clothes and shoes to the needy people today at the Dimapur railway station.

The Dimapur Naga Student’s Union organized a charity event called “Share the Joy” along with other tribal unions which was scheduled to be held on 15th of December 2024 at the state stadium. However, under this project Share the Joy, they initiated a kick off of their charity project today a the Dimapur Railway station.

Todays activity was all about donation food, clothes and grooming for the poor and needy people out there in and around the Dimapur railway station. The DNSU was seen trimming hair for the homeless people and not only that but also helping them shower and got them dressed in new clothes. The needy and homeless people were very much happy and delighted to receive such warmth from the people headed by the DNSU.

While talking with Michael Kath GS of DNSU, he said that the main motive and objective of this charity project “Share the Joy” was under the thought; “No one should go hungry this Christmas and no one should go cold this Christmas”. He said that today’s event was just a kick off for their main event which is scheduled to be held on the 15th of December at the state stadium where they will be inviting all the orphanages from Dimapur as well as Chumukedima district. He also gave out an open invitation to all, to come and be a part of the ‘Share the Joy’ charity event on the 15th at the state stadium. He also further extended his thankfulness to all the people who have helped in donating for the project, and said that it was a really good response from the people this time. He concluded by saying that, DNSU will continue to take up such kinds of initiatives even in the future.
