Dimapur, October 9: Kuchi Rangkau Zeliang, son of Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister TR Zeliang, passed away at Olive Hospital, according to information received.
Kuchi Rangkau Zeliang, advisor of the Nagaland Pickleball Association (NPA) was actively involved in promoting pickleball in the State, supporting the state team’s participation in regional tournaments, including the Kolkata Open Pickleball Championship, where Nagaland secured eight gold and three silver medals, as well as competitions in Guwahati.
He also contributed to organising major state level events, including the inaugural Mithun Rhino Pickleball Interstate Championship and the Nagaland Pickleball Masters, while promoting the growth of the sport across Dimapur, Chümoukedima and Kohima.His passing is termed as a loss to the state’s pickleball community.
