

Kohima, July 17: A new Government Primary School building at Kewhitsütuo Model was inaugurated on Friday, marking a major milestone in the community’s efforts to strengthen education and invest in future generations.
The inauguration was attended by Advisor for School Education Dr. Kekhrielhoulie Yhome as Chief Guest and Kohima Municipal Council Chairman Neibodzelie Solo as Honoured Guest. During the programme, a sanitation vehicle funded by the Tsütuonuomia Khel Council was also flagged off, while the Chief Guest unveiled the commemorative monolith to officially inaugurate the school.
Speaking at the event, T. Khel Council Chairman K. Neibou Sekhose described the occasion as a historic moment, stating that education has become the true safeguard of society. He said the school building, funded entirely by the T. Khel Council, is a long-term investment in the community’s future and fulfils a vision conceived by local leaders over five decades ago.
Sekhose also announced plans to establish a Higher Secondary School in the area and expressed hope for continued support from the School Education Department. The programme concluded with acknowledgements to all those who contributed to the successful completion of the project.
