DIMAPUR: The family members file an FIR to the CP, DMP against the 2nd wife; claiming of black magic involvement by the 2nd wife on their brother and father Dr. Mlato Shikhu.
In what can be seen and watched only in movies, new case has been reported here in DMP involving Dr. Mlato Shikhu; Today at press conference him and his wife claimed that the DMP police has done injustice to them. This is basically in regard to a family feud where the brother of Mlato Shikhu is involved and many other family members including Dr. Milato Shikhu’s children. And his children along with their uncle that is the Chief Engineer of PWD House & Dept. has filed an FIR against the wife who is also the 2nd wife; claiming her to be a very deceitful person in their FIR.
The FIR filed by Dr. Mlato Shikhu to the CP DMP as well as copied to the DGP claims of what exactly spiral from the day of OCT 29, where he was summoned to the Khehoi camp and held there for 24 hours as well as his wife who went to file and FIR, where they said it was abduction however the women police station did not accept her FIR. They had claimed many things as well and also trying to contact the media person telling us the backstory, saying that it is the 2nd wife namely Chelsea Kikon claiming who she has done a black magic on a brother and father Dr. Mlato Shikhu.
Through a press conference he clarified that, on 29 oct he got a call from the National Workers Khehoi camp, around 10:55 am in the morning when he was in the hospital and since his son was also not home the other night he thought something might have happened to him and when he asked them they said that his son was been detained in the camp and so he and his wife decided to go to their camp to enquire about it but he said that it was a false allegations from his family members and his brothers that they wanted to detain him as his family members was not happy that he married Chelsea Kikon and said that it was a plot of how it actually started. On asking the question of what happened to his son, they told him that four of them were detained, where three of them was a minor case while his son has a serious issue and that’s why they called him and said that they want to have a private talk with him and asked his wife to step out for a minute and right after his wife went out they informed him that a black magic has been done to him and has been given a love portion so they told him to stay for detox and encouraged him to go for some counseling and prayers and so Dr. Mlito told them that he’s the one who sells detox and so many prayer centers refers to them for it and said that he does not believe in black magic, he said that even after them requesting him to stay he refused to stay behind and when he went out to check on her wife, his wife was chased out by them. And so he called up his wife and requested her to go to the police station and file an FIR so that even people will know that he has been detained/ kidnapped by his brother and children only. And after some time he said that he gave an SOS message on whatsApp incase they don’t release him; he also informed us that after much negotiation he came to know that it was done by both of his son, however both his son has been taking drugs for sometime and they have been constantly under his treatment. And after all these things have happened he said that, he came to realised that his wife was arrested without warrant and kept in the lock-up and so he started to reach out for help from his friends and people but many refused him by saying its a family matter and let them solve among themselves. He also made it clear that it has nothing to do with the Khehoi camp because they did what they were directed and that it was purely done by his elder brother, his wife and his children.
He also expressed his unhappiness towards the Police because when his wife went to lodge an FIR the police did not accept it but rather threatened her that she will be hand-cuff and she was detained in the women police station which is backside of west police station DMP, the whole night and said that for any private needs she was told to do it with open doors and that’s how she started bleeding from there and said that because of these things, after his release around 4:30 – 5:00 by saying that if anything arises he will be called again; Meantime she was also released but her FIR was not taken and only the next day after he went to the station and gave his statement but at first he was refused but after a long discussion only the police took his statement, but he was refused to file an FIR again and so he left. He said that as a government servant it was the duty of the government to take the first step but they did not.
He also mentioned that even after mailing his FIR to the DCP there was still no reply from him and so he took the step of conveying his side of the story and the truth through the social media platform. His lawyer further added that no matter who and what that person is, if the need for FIR arises the police should register the FIR but however, they said that the police have not registered it still now because the police are trying to negotiate with both side of the families. He also further clarified on his statement made earlier regarding his recent marriage, he said that his marriage has been done in the court while his cousin brother, his friend and the wife’s mother was present as a witness during their court marriage. He also further added that he tried to take consent from his children, siblings and his parents but they refused and was against their marriage but said that they were in a living relationship for almost two months. He said that if his wife was detained in the police station for overnight because of the FIR filed by his children, he question the police by asking them, ‘what were they doing without detaining his children when his wife countered FIR them?’ and said that the police should see from both side of the story.
Chelsea Kikon, wife of Dr. Mlato Shekhu also narrated her side of the story and how she was arrested during the press conference. She said that she studied journalism so she knows the basic rights of a citizen and so when they police asked her to come with them she asked the police for an arrest warrant or let her know if there is any FIR against her but she was told that there was nothing as such and asked her to just come with them for 10mins but she refused to because her husband was been kidnap or detained but the police told her that if she doesn’t come with them they will put a handcuff in her and forced her to sit in the car but she said to the police that she will be coming from her own car and police constable sat along with her in the car and came along with her: she said that, she thought it was regarding the FIR filed for her husband’s detention and that she was not aware that an FIR was filed against her and right after she reach the police station the police started to take away her belongings and also she wasn’t allowed to call a lawyer as well. She also added that she wanted to counter file an FIR because she and her minor 7 year old child of her first marriage has been already given a life threat by her husband’s brothers, children and by her step children and said that she took them seriously but never filed an FIR against them because she was a mother and she cannot do such acts but stated that the issue have come to such state that she has to counter FIR them but they refused to accept and the police told her that they have an order from the higher department for not accepting her FIR and that she had to go to the lockup even though she stated all her rights. She further added that their phones was been tapped and she believes that it will be by the police most probably. She also said that the issue had been going on for a long time, right after their mother died last year, she said that the children had been snatching away the father’s phone, locking him up in a room, beat him up and transfer money from his account on their own because they were already used to substance abuse and that’s why she said that Dr. Mlato ran away from his home to her place and started living with her even before marriage. She also stated that she is just a collateral damage in the fight for property and happened to get stuck in between and since the children wanted to take over his hospital and his property she thinks that she got unlucky and got caught up in between them and that’s why she thinks that the Children and the family members of Dr. Mlato only filed an FIR against her and not him.
As the drama unfolds we have seen how they are asking for justice, especially the police the higher authority have not allowed to file an FIR against what the family has done including Chief Engineer of PWD Housing, including Dr. Mlato’s own children from his first wife- four of them as well as many other from their clan. Now, they are saying that they are fearing for their lives, in fact they feel like they are on the run according to what they have said, even to come for this press conference they had to use another form of transportation, their phone being tapped by the police. All these are allegations as of now but they have said it on record to all the media houses here in DMP, now we just have to wait to what the other family members and the police have to say regarding all these issues.
