Dimapur, October 16: MLA and Advisor to the Government of Nagaland, Hekani Jakhalu, visited a job and career fair organised by the youth of Dimapur III Assembly Constituency in collaboration with YouthNet. The two-day initiative aims to connect young people with employment, skill development, training and self-employment opportunities.
Addressing the youth, Jakhalu encouraged them to step out of their comfort zones and take advantage of the opportunities available. She highlighted that around 10–12 organisations and departments had been brought together to provide information on various career and employment prospects. She also urged young people to spread awareness among their friends, neighbours and families to ensure wider participation.
Alongside the job fair, a futsal tournament featuring 34 teams is being held to encourage youth participation and engagement. A medical camp has also been organised, offering basic health check-ups and blood tests. Jakhalu stressed that while the government continues to introduce initiatives for young people, their willingness to explore opportunities and take proactive steps towards their future remains essential.
