Dimapur, Aug. 6: The Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, has issued an updated traffic advisory after the temporary bridge between Jharnapani and Molvom was washed away due to incessant rainfall and flooding.
Travellers commuting between Chümoukedima and Jalukie, Peren, have been advised to use designated alternate routes. Light motor vehicles can travel via 7th Mile–Pimla through Shokhuvi, New Chümoukedima–Gaili via Ruzaphema, or Medziphema–Punglwa through Sirhi Angami and Sochunoma villages.
Heavy motor vehicles have been prohibited from using these alternate routes and will only be allowed to ply once the damaged temporary bridge is restored. The advisory came into effect immediately.
