FROM NAGALAND TO THE WORLD, STATE HONOURS INTERNATIONAL BPDYBUILDING CHAMPIONS

Kohima, July 23: The Nagaland Bodybuilding & Fitness Association (NBBFA) felicitated Nagaland’s international bodybuilding champions at The Heritage, Kohima, recognizing athletes who have represented both the state and the country on the global stage.

Advisor for Youth Resources & Sports, S. Keoshu Yimkhiung, lauded the athletes for their dedication and sacrifices, stating that their achievements have brought pride to Nagaland and inspired more youth to take up sports. The program also honored coaches, trainers, parents, and officials for their contributions.
Among those recognized was Lily Hashnu, who won gold in the Women’s Model Physique (Below 155 cm) category at the 16th South Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championships 2026 in Bhutan.

Speaking exclusively to Nagaland News Network (NNN), silver medallist and reigning Mr. Nagaland 2023 Keneilelie “Kenny” Soru shared his journey in bodybuilding, highlighting the importance of discipline, perseverance, and hard work for aspiring athletes. The event concluded with a renewed commitment to further promote bodybuilding and fitness in Nagaland.
