DIMAPUR: Aolemba Longkumer clarifies in his rejoinder that he is just a beneficiary and co-promoter of the project.
The recent case of the extortion of the Aolemba Longkumer, Chairman of the Country Craft Development Society, where the NSCN-k (khango) group demanded an amount of Rs.50 lakh from him; in the recent statement on December 27th by the NSCN Khango group claimed that they have evidence that Aolemba Lkr has failed to execute the project, the project being the common facility center.
But, Aolemba on 3rd January came up with a rejoinder stating that all the accusations are false and that whatever evidence is there will be with the nodal agency and implementing agency. The nodal agency being the Industries and Commerce Dept. and the NITC. Sources informed that in fact an RTI was filed by an individual and the NITC responded to the RTI with whatever response they were supposed to give and said that, it might be misused by the group right now and it was also informed that, sometimes the RTI that come in the agency or any other department, sometimes this information is being misused or taken too far sometimes.
The chairman of CCDS, Aolemba Lkr said in his rejoinder that he is just a beneficiary and a co-promoter and not even the contractor or supplier of the project which there is a misconception about. He further said that he neither has failed to execute the project and that the agencies , NITC and Industries and Commerce Department will have enough information about this matter. Sources also informed that almost 50% is yet to be paid or arrive from the center for the project.
