DIMAPUR: Special Guest gives assurance to Dimapur Press Club that they will also be provided with an office.
Dimapur Press Club was formed in the year 1999 in the month of December with just four journalist with a motive to uphold the freedom of press. And this year that is 2024 marks as the silver jubilee of the Dimapur Press Club; press club and media from Dimapur as well as from Kohima was seen attending the silver jubilee of the Dimapur Press Club at the Dimapur Government College, auditorium.
While interacting with the president of the Dimapur Press Club, Imkong Walling he talked about the challenges faced by the Press of Dimapur as well as Nagaland in general. Shri Sharingain Longkumer,Speaker Nagaland Legislative Assembly was seen as the special guest and the Dimapur Press Club through the special guest send a representation to the CM.
The representation contained a particular point where it mentioned about how the Government of Nagaland should be able to differentiate between the journalist and a social media influencers. And the special guest was also seen giving assurance to the Dimapur Press Club that they will also be provided with an office.
